Daily Tuneage (and more...)

I’m getting ready to compile my ‘Best of 2008’ list, and I’ve used a few sources to try and determine what I loved the most: Last.fm, my iTunes play count (since I’ve had this computer since early February), my iTunes manual playlists, and even DailyTuneage to remind myself what I loved in, say, March. Because we forget - it’s all too easy to forget. In doing so, I’ve found that a few of the songs that moved me the most - or that I adore the most - somehow didn’t make it on any of these lists…I clearly didn’t play them enough (at least in comparison to some of the other songs) or perhaps it was on a CD in my car. (Yes, I still have those.) ‘Skinny Love’ by Bon Iver is one of these songs, and is hands down one of the best songs on Justin Vernon’s epic album, “For Emma, Forever Ago.” It is also one of my favorite songs, ever.
