During SXSW, we headed to Cedar Street Courtyard to see The Wombats, but the schedule was pushed back a bit and we got to also see The Pigeon Detectives. This was extremely fortuitous; I’ve never seen a band maintain that amount of energy in nearly 100-degree temperatures, nor have I seen ANYONE master the mic the way the lead singer did. Add to this the fact that their music is beyond catchy (they had a singalong to this tune, “I Found Out”, during their SXSW show) and The Pigeon Detectives are quickly competing for work iTunes airtime.
